I appreciate the help you guys have given me getting back into this game. I hate bothering anyone during playtime (I do it too much) so I thought I'd start a thread to get my situation resolved offline.
I have installed the two mods following the instructions I found in AAA. HERE
The problem I have is that sometimes, not always, it will allow meto select any plane in the inventory rather than planes specified for the mission. In the NBNG map test the other night I had the same problem but I could not select the P38G or the B25 that was being used. I could not see anyone flying these planes but I could see the human flown A20 and Japanese planes.
How should I go about trying to resolve this? |

Let's get on comms and go step by step. I'm sure there is an easy fix. |

So far I have reinstalled HSFX 4.0 and HSFX 4.2 and the problem is still there.
What should I do next? |

order of install is this
409m (clean no mods)
HSFX 4.0
HSFX 4.1
If you re install and you have HSFX installed, run JSGME first and move all mods to the left and exit JSGME
Once you reinstall and run your game 409m standard, then run JSGME move the hsfx and 1.01 Zuti and join WOW. If all went well congrats. If not, we will need to go remote into your system to find out what's wrong. |

Is it OK to install "on top" of the game or should I uninstall it first? |

The problem seems to be resolved. It also seemed to improve playability too.
I opened JSGME and turned off the HSFX History and Zuti 1.01. I then turned on 4.09m standard. I then turned that off. I went into my IL1946 folder and renamed the "Mods" folder to "-Mods" and deleted the "Files" folder. I reinstalled HSFX 4.0 parts 1 and 2. When it finished I installed HSFX 4.1. When the installation was complete I installed 41_hotfix_v3.8.exe (available in the WoW Teamspeak channel) and then reopened JSGME. I switched HSFX History and Zuti 1.01 back on by moving them to the right.
I launched the game and did not see the problem on three different maps. In fact it was the first time I flew the Korea map with the correct plane set. |

Hello Orkan,
Glad you are getting things sorted out.
Just be aware that the hotfix 3.8 changes FMs.
The F-86F now flies as fast as a F-15 Strike Eagle !
See full details of that hotfix at
http://www.242sqn.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1936
... and about maps at http://www.242sqn.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2063
One of the members of another group who installed this fix had to rebuild his install because of change in FM for the Sabre and KTO map.
The following is also taken from one forum:

I finally got a reply from PeterD on the 242 sqdn fixer file.

PeterD,
The folks over at the 242 sqdn said I should ask you about the latest "fixer" batch file they published that has "enhancements" to the F-86 and MiG-15/17 FMs.
Could you tell me what the enhancments are?
Quote from PeterD:
To be honest, I have absolutely no idea. I will check it out this weekend if not sooner.

What impression do you get from that? Personally, I think 242 is fiddling with PertDs stuff and not telling him about it, but that just me. |
I have not installed that fix and am flying fine with the FAs.
Nevertheless, am glad to see you flying okay. |

The F86 and mig updates were in
Version 3.3
Replacement buttons file which enhances F-86 & MiG-15/17s FM.
as noted at 242. These are the same ones we submitted but were not included with 4.1
I have not received any emails from 242 noting the F86's are crazy fast. |

I flew the F86 last night and thought it should be faster! I think I was at ~400mph in level flight. |

What about this 4.11 release? Are we going to use this too? |
